Hi All

I wrote today’s long post 3 times, I have deleted the first two. It was just way to depressing, and as a barman that’s the last thing I want to put out there in my Bar. I say its mine But its not, Its OUR BAR it’s a place where everyone knows your name,

it’s the first bar I’ve run and I think its going great Over heads are low but then again so’s the income. I have broken so many laws and encouraged so much bad practice I don’t think they will renew my licence, I haven’t checked one persons ID. Are any of you underage?? I’m working on the pub quiz it probably wont be ready for tonight. I had stuff to do today, and strangely as much as my bosses love me, they like me to work occasionally.

Im quite keen as the barman to try the whole “Barney pick up line” HAVE YOU MEET TED so if you want me as your wing man in the bar we can try it (don’t be creepy the bouncer is BIG)

Look after the essential workers, tell them they are amazing, there not able to spend times with there family’s who are worried about them as well. Be Kind to them its not there fault we all brought to much flour. Nurses, Doctors, Fireman, Police, Supply Chain staff and supermarket workers i raise a glass your all welcome here and the first drink will always be on me. #notallheroswearcapes.

Stay safe, stay home Be Kind and “Make good choices”

Hi All,

its been a very strange day, the day before the day before we go into lock down in little old NZ. what did we all do, Some of us got up and went to work, some of us worked from home and others of us prepared for the lock down, i went and helped friends who needed help, because that’s what we do as a country we help. i hope you are all as prepared as you can be. There’s a lot of unknowns coming our way and we need to make sure we stay like this and we look out for our mates and we are kind to strangers.

its a really odd Day when you give your boss a hug the boss that’s half way through setting up a business we have only done one job in and say i will see you in 4 weeks. Maybe longer. what does he say Be well Bro, Make Good Choices.

take time to thank the ones around you, help those who need it. Remember there are people who have to go to work every day to keep us safe. Doctors, Nurses, ambulance and fire staff the police. thank them for there work and thank the people at the supermarkets they don’t want to get sick they want to spend time with there family’s as well.

That’s really deep. Be Kind. make good choices

Hi All,

It’s a crazy crazy time we live in, I cant promise this wont be the only long post I make but as a Barman now I’m supposed to answer the hard questions, the questions you get late at night. The ones I cant answer. How do you get out of the Friend zone? Am I really punching well above my weight? How do you make a zombie apocalypse with a twist?

But time to be serious with COVID-19 now here, globally and locally we need to look after each other. On Friday night I started this page to have a little fun I certainly didn’t expect at that point to get to 500 members let alone the almost 900 we have now, I hope it continues to spread and our little bit of happiness can be shared. What I wanted from the group was somewhere to have a joke, a virtual bar where banter was encouraged and we all got on. I’m glad to say that that has happened not one post has been removed. As we grow I want to keep this up, I want it to be a bar where every one knows your name. I will be looking for a couple of bouncers and I have a few ideas on how we can make this page on this platform help the communities we all live in.

I live in Auckland New Zealand, on Wednesday night we go in to lock down, we haven’t experienced this yet in our life time and I imagine its going to be quite hard, we need to stick to the plan, we need to be kind and we need to check in regularly with our friends and family and we need to be kind. (look I’ve said it twice now)

Those of you who have the pleasure of knowing me personally will know I’m very big on mental health, this is a bar of support and help, reach out we know these times are going to be stressful. Keep Safe Guys.

My Plan is I will host a happy hour every day, don’t know what that actually means yet. But I will be online interacting at a designated time every day for an hour, any body else wants to get in on being a host let me know and we will work it out. Keep sharing our little party with your friends.

BE Safe STAY Safe, Help each other and remember to be Kind. (three Times)
